About Us
Hooked is the brainchild of its co-founders Bettina and Lucas, two good friends who met while pursuing their Master's in Tourism Management in Switzerland. After graduating, Lucas returned to Brazil, eager to create a platform that would attract more visitors to this breathtaking but under-traveled destination. He kept discussing ideas with Bettina, a European with a love for tropical countries, who brought valuable insights from a traveler’s perspective.
During a trip to northeast Brazil for kitesurfing, they decided to combine their passion with purpose. Thus, Hooked was born—a travel agency dedicated to bringing sports enthusiasts to the country they love. Travelers can immerse themselves in the local culture while becoming more and more hooked on kitesurfing—a lifechanging passion for many likeminded fellows.

Lucas, a passionate kitesurfer and travel enthusiast from Brazil, holds a degree in Law, along with a Master's in Tourism Management. He’s dedicated to helping travelers make the most of their experience in Brazil, offering tips and bridging any language gaps along the way.
Bettina Mandel
Travel Consultant, Marketing Manager
Bettina, originally from Germany, has explored over 75 countries, including multiple visits to Brazil. With a Bachelor's in Marketing and a Master's in Tourism Management, she understands the traveler’s perspective and provides invaluable tips to enhance your itinerary and create unforgettable memories.
